Ceres BioSystems Process

While the Ceres technology can be adapted to suit numerous final product solutions, which revolve around soil fertility and soil health, we focus first on the needs of the local market before we recommend a solution to organic waste management. We believe the best solution for any market is one designed to not just address the immediate need for organic waste management but to do so in a sustainable manner and create an end product ideally suited for the needs of the local community. Once we have determined these needs Ceres then modifies our core technology to suit the various sources and flows of the local waste organic materials ensuring our end product meets local market needs for nutrients and all local governmental regulations.

At Ceres we’re not selling a “one size fits all” technology, we are partnering with a local community to create a customized, sustainable solution and end product.

Generally, two versions of our core technology are used in our markets.

Pathogen Reduction and pH Reduction

In this version of our technology, we mix the raw materials twice. Once to raise the pH and temperature of the inbound organic waste to deliver the pathogen elimination that is a key feature of our final product. Then, after a 12 hour “cure” period, we mix the material one more time with other raw material(s) that will add further nutrients, but more importantly lower the pH to a more neutral range (from about 11 or 12 pH).

Pathogen Reduction

In this version of our technology, we mix the raw materials once to raise the pH and temperature of the inbound organic waste to deliver the pathogen elimination that is a key feature of our final product. Then after a 12 hour “cure” period, the mixed material is ready for bagging and shipping. As a sub version of this product, we can use a rotary drum dryer to further condition and dry the final product prior to shipping.
